Kate Beckinsale claims her daughter’s boyfriend laid two eggs
Kate Beckinsale has bizarrely claimed that her daughter’s boyfriend miraculously managed to lay two eggs.
The actor made the revelation during a new interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live while promoting her latest film, the action thriller Wildcat directed by James Nunn.
However, the movie didn’t end up taking much of the interview, after Beckinsale revealed that her daughter Lily’s boyfriend recently laid two eggs, with no medical reasoning currently explaining the alleged incident.
When innocently discussing her family’s plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the actor claimed her daughter’s boyfriend “laid two eggs in a week,” much to the confusion of Kimmel and his audience.
When pressed on the matter, Beckinsale explained that the boyfriend went to the bathroom in her home and anxiously shouted “I’ve laid an egg,” which she claimed had “a full shell, it’s got a yolk.”
Noting that he was “genuinely scared” as the structure of the egg was “like a hard-boiled one”, Beckinsale then explained that the incident allegedly happened again to her daughter’s boyfriend a week later.
Despite floating various theories around, including asking the boyfriend if he was “doing it for attention”, Beckinsale then contacted various doctors who were involved in the care of her late parents, but none could offer a diagnosis.
“The whole of America was involved,” she quipped, before showing Kimmel a “quite medical” and graphic picture of the supposed egg, which she declined to display to the audience, whose reaction seemed both amused and horrified by the strange tale.
Thankfully, no such incidents are depicted in Beckinsale’s latest film Wildcat, which is released in the United States on November 25th.
