Last week we brought you the news that Kasabian were hinting at a live return and now it has been confirmed that the band have been readying a massive homecoming show for 2020.
The show will take place at Victoria Park in Leicester and sees the band take to the mammoth stage to give their only live performance of 2020 on June 20th. It comes six years after their first huge outdoor show in Leicester, which they called ‘Solstice’ and will see the band giving their beer-throwing best for the return, ‘Solstice II’.
Currently working on new music, one of the UK’s best and biggest rock band, are eager to return to Leicester next summer. Kasabian main man Serge Pizzorno recently released his critically acclaimed trippy solo record under the moniker The S.L.P. Newly revitalized, he is looking forward to making studio magic once again with Kasabian: singer Tom Meighan, bassist Chris Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter.
Of the show, Serge said, “We’re absolutely buzzing to be able to put on Solstice II in our home town of Leicester. Anyone who came last time would know how special it was and to get the opportunity to do it again is beyond a dream.”
Tickets go on sale at 9 am on October 25th and are available from here.
