Following the release of Kanye West’s long-awaited new album, Jesus Is King on Friday the world has been rippling with the chatter about the record. It has divided his fans and critics with everyone seemingly having a view on West’s new religious-direction. Now, the Church of Satan have responded to the LP.
Following multiple delays, the album arrived yesterday as a gospel-led move away from West’s previous work. It’s a purposeful change as Kanye seems to be placing his faith at centre stage. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, the rapper said he’s “in complete service to God”.
He went on to say that he nearly quit rapping for good, saying that Hip-Hop was “the Devil’s music,” something which has inspired the change to a more religious sound on the 11-track album.
It’s a set of circumstances which has seen social media rife with critique. The Church of Satan have now become the next in line to offer some words n the record.
“Satan is the best friend Kanye has ever had, as he will keep him in business all these years!” tweeted the Church’s official account.

They then went on to reply to a comment which said “Satan is pissed” with an affirmative endorsement of the LP saying “only those who read our literature will ‘get it’.”
We’re more pleased than anything! Only those who read our literature will “get it”.— The Church Of Satan (@ChurchofSatan) October 25, 2019
