Kagoule release video for ‘Made of Concrete’

We brought you Nottingham outfit Kagoule’s latest track ‘Made of Concrete’ as a precursor to their impending album Urth, well now we have a suitably odd video to compliment it. The visuals are fairly straightforward, it’s a continuous shot of the band standing for what looks like a family portrait, but with more sedated tendencies.

The band stand almost motionless as the track paddles on, full of pedal box bass and industrial racket. It stands as a tribute to what the trio can do and what Urth surely has to offer even if ‘Made of Concrete’ is an altogether different animal from their previous releases.

Guitarist Cai explains a little more on how he ‘caught’ this sound. “It came as a trapped sound in a Boss delay pedal box. Someone at the factory must’ve been humming in the right direction at the right time, the waves slipped through and the cardboard door sealed behind them,”

“It journeyed over sea and land, benumbed by fear until I freed it from its torture and gave it a home (I think that’s how sound works right?) It was one of the first songs I wrote for Kagoule
