Kacey Musgraves cancels several upcoming shows with no explanation
Kacey Musgraves has left fans confused after cancelling three upcoming shows on her Middle of Nowhere tour, including the opening night, with no explanation.
Earlier this year, the singer-songwriter announced her forthcoming tour, an ambitious international endeavour in support of her seventh studio album, Middle of Nowhere.
The tour was set to begin on August 20th and conclude in February next year at London’s Ovo Arena Wembley, totalling 39 dates all-in across North America, Australia, and the UK.
However, Musgraves has now cancelled three of the shows on the run, including the first performance in Chicago.
Musgraves has also cancelled her show in Boston on August 29th and in Brooklyn on September 2nd.
Fans expecting to watch Musgraves at those shows have now received an email announcing the cancellation.
“Please be advised that the Kacey Musgraves concert scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026 at TD Garden has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience,” the email began.
It added, “All tickets will be automatically refunded to fans at their original point of purchase. Please allow 7-10 business days for refunds to process.”
For fans still wanting to check out Musgrave’s live offering, tickets are still available for alternative dates in all three locations.
Earlier this year, Musgraves hit the headlines after inviting three teenage musicians who were previously detained by ICE to open her live shows in Texas.
The mariachi trio consisted of 18-year-old Antonio Gámez-Cuéllar, 14-year-old Caleb Gámez-Cuéllar, and 12-year-old Joshua Gámez-Cuéllar.
Musgraves publicly reached out to the band via Instagram by celebrating their latest release. She wrote beneath their post, “Great so come on the road with me.”
Musgraves released Middle of Nowhere on May 1st via Lost Highway Records. The project incorporates elements of Western swing, regional Mexican styles, and country. It followed on from her 2024 album, Deeper Well.
Musgraves formerly performed in May for three nights at Gruene Hall in support of the release.
