Jordan Peele teases new movie could be his “favourite”
Comedian and filmmaker Jordan Peele has discussed his upcoming film, teasing that it could be his “favourite” project so far.
After a successful career as an actor and comedian, helming the popular Comedy Central show Key and Peele, he released his debut feature, Get Out, in 2017.
The movie cemented Peele as one of the 21st century’s most influential directors, with the horror film being unanimously praised. Peele followed his debut with Us in 2019.
Most recently, Peele shared the highly acclaimed Nope, a sci-fi horror. Since its release, the director has been working on another project, which has been kept rather secret.
However, the Hollywood writer and actor strikes that took place earlier this year delayed production. Now that the strikes are over, Peele has started his film, sharing some information about it on the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast.
“Obviously, it’s been an interesting year because the writer’s strike had had me in a state of listening, and that’s where I need to be,” he explained.
Peele added, “I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I’m psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favourite movie if I make it right.”
Over the coming months, Peele will hopefully reveal some more details about his highly-anticipated new movie.
