Johnny Marr has announced an intimate run of dates across the UK this September.
The former Smiths guitarist is set to support The Courteeners at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford on September 25th and will be playing three small dates in the week, building up to the mammoth hometown show.
The tour begins with a show at The Stylus in Leeds on September 20th before hitting Blackburn’s King George’s Town Hall the night after. On the 23rd, Marr will be bringing his band to London for a special performance at the Electric Ballroom in Camden.
It was recently announced that Marr would be The Killers’ special guest on their 2022 arena tour of the US, which kicks off next August, and runs through to October. He joined the group for a rousing cameo during their headline performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2019.
These new shows will be Marr’s first time on stage since he performed at the Brit Awards with Hann Zimmer and Billie Eilish in 2020.
Tickets are on general sale from 10am, Friday, July 30th. An exclusive fan pre-order is open from 10am, Wednesday, July 28th, accessed via signing up to the Johnny Marr mailing list at johnnymarr.com.
