Jimmy Kimmel slams Donald Trump for attending Knicks game: “Convicted of 34 felonies”
Jimmy Kimmel continues to be a loud dissenter of Donald Trump’s every move; this time, he has a theory regarding Trump’s desire to attend the NBA Finals in New York City.
The president announced his intention to attend the June 9th game at Madison Square Garden, which will see the New York Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs. Notably, the Knicks are only two victories shy of their first championship win since 1973.
Kimmel had something to say about the matter. “A lot of celebrities are expected to be at the Garden on Monday,” Kimmel began on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, “Including the biggest celebrity of all, a guy who draws bigger crowds than Martin Luther King and Elvis without even playing the guitar combined.”
To an array of boos, he continued, “President Trump is planning to go to New York for the day.”
Delivering the brutal blow, he added, “This would be the first time Trump has appeared at a court in New York since being convicted of 34 felonies.”
Kimmel then touched on the “AI slop” picture Trump posted of himself previously, “in a Knicks jersey dunking on New York Governor Kathy Hokll. There he is. Larry Turd with two hands on the ball.”
In a nod to the president’s corrupt dealings, Kimmel added, “The president wants to be there in person to support his hometown team and if necessary to overturn the results of the game.”
Here, Kimmel nodded to the president’s desperate pleas in 2020 to overturn the results after Joe Biden was declared triumphant.
The 58-year-old finished, “You’d think Trump would be rooting for the Spurs. It’s what got him out of Vietnam.”
Earlier this week, Kimmel dragged Trump for his continued social media usage, as the politician posts on average every hour every day on his platform, TruthSocial.
Kimmel quipped, “How does this man have the time to be a doctor and Jesus and also our most out-of-control relative on social media? But I guess that’s what you have to do if you want to make it as an influencer.”
Kimmel added with a smile, “If Donald Trump did one sit-up every time he posted something, he’d look like Jacob Elordi right now.”
