Jimmy Kimmel slams Donald Trump as he questions if Epstein files or Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will “get released first”
Jimmy Kimmel has fired another warning shot at Donald Trump after questioning whether the Jeffrey Epstein files, or disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, will be released to the public first.
On the latest episode of his late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the vocal Trump dissenter began discussing Trump’s “disaster” at the current G7 Summit in France, where global leaders come together in an attempt to solve major issues that transcend borders.
“Oh man, they must hate him so much, right?” Kimmel began discussing the other leaders in attendance, adding, “I mean, can you imagine the conversations that go on behind his back?”
Later in the evening, Trump attended a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles. Kimmel suggested that Trump’s attendance at the venue was “like sending an ape to the opera”.
Beyond the jokes, Kimmel shared that Trump is currently behind an “awful” memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, which he deems a “tremendous foreign policy blunder”.
Describing the on-the-ground disarray in Iran, Kimmel quipped solemnly that “there is no problem Donald Trump can’t make worse. So, I will say the one area in which the war has been a rousing success is it did take our attention away from the Trump Epstein files.”
Kimmel mused pointedly, “I wonder which gets released first, the rest of those files or Diddy.”
Pertinently, on June 16th, it was announced that the prison release date for Combs has now been moved forward for the third time since his original sentence was set.
With this in mind, Kimmel continued: “You know, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs got his release date moved up again. He’s doing time right now at Fort Dix in New Jersey for his extracurricular activities. He was scheduled to get out in June of 2028. That was moved up to April. And now he’ll be released in February of 2028, which is almost in time for Valentine’s Day.”
The surreal nature of Combs’ near release, despite being charged with two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, led Kimmel to conclude: “Diddy is reportedly still facing upwards of 70 civil lawsuits across the country. I know if I was facing 70 lawsuits, I’d just stay in prison.”
Before moving on to Meta’s new “pervy” AI glasses, Kimmel joked, “between Diddy’s release and the Strait of Hormuz opening, the oil is going to be flowing like never before.”
