Jimmy Kimmel lambasts Donald Trump for “dumb and crazy problems”

As the news cycle becomes impossible to keep up with, Jimmy Kimmel has taken it upon himself to ensure millions across the globe know exactly what Donald Trump is at fault for. This time, it’s algae.

The late-night show host addressed the president’s current swimming pool situation on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“You know, Trump spent reportedly $14million updating the reflecting pool on the National Mall,” Kimmel began of the previous showman and hotelier.

He continued, “He set out to resurface and repaint it because he didn’t like the way it looked. He wanted to paint it American flag blue. That was the colour. So, the project was completed last week. And now, not even a week later, it’s already completely green.”

Laughing, Kimmel added, “It’s Mexican flag green. That’s what the White House calls residual algae. They’ve got workers out there. They’ve been dumping gallons of hydrogen peroxide in there, which is also how he colours his hair, by the way.”

Paradoxically, Trump made the bottom of the pool a darker colour, which makes algae grow quicker as the organisms thrive in warmer water.

Kimmel quipped, “You know, he promised he would drain the swamp. Instead, he spent 14 million of our dollars building a new one. His next step is to move St. Patrick’s Day to July and claim it’s green on purpose.”

Kimmel then highlighted that Trump owns three hotles outright, including Trump Tower in New York City: “If there was one thing he could do, you would think it was keep a pool clean. He can’t even get that right.

Conservative media have used Trump’s attempt to clean up the algae as a symbol of his greatness, while one Real America’s Voice News reporter suggested something “nefarious” was going on over the pool.

At this, Kimmel quipped, “My god, the algae is working with Antifa. You’ve cracked the case.”

The vocal Trump dissenter concluded, “Of all the many dumb and crazy problems that Donald Trump has created, never did I imagine that one of them would be algae.”
