Jack White shares new song ‘You Got Me Searching’
Jack White has released ‘You Got Me Searching’, a new B-side taken from his most recent record, No Name.
The former White Stripes guitarist surprised-released his sixth studio record, No Name, earlier this year. The album was secretly shared with Third Man Records customers before it was officially released on August 2nd, earning widespread critical acclaim.
Far Out‘s Tom Taylor awarded No Name four-and-a-half stars, concluding, “If it was simply Jack White sounding like good old Jack White then that would make for a timely rocket to blast a noteworthy wreckage in today’s pixelated musical landscape, but it’s Jack White in a signature vein that timelessly revitalises the medium of the blues with each stabbing chord—rendering it pretty damn close to the masterpiece the world needs right now.”
Now, White has released a B-side from the record titled ‘You Got Me Searching’. On the guitar-driven track, White sings, “Seven days in, you without sin, you will have a chance to begin again, seven days in, seven of ten, you will never be descending again.”
Following the release of No Name, the former White Stripes guitarist spoke about his unconventional touring schedule, planning on playing the record at small clubs and backyard fetes. However, White has now announced a slew of new tour dates that will take him to larger venues across the globe.
Later this month, White will take to the stage at Corona Capitol in Mexico City, before kicking off December with shows in Hong Kong and Vietnam. White will round out the year with several dates in New Zealand and Australia. White’s last show of the year will be at Auckland Town Hall on December 17th.
In 2025, White will embark upon a 41-date tour of North America and Japan, kicking off in Toronto on February 6th. White will play three dates in the Canadian city before returning to his home country for shows in Brooklyn and Boston.
In March, White will play a series of shows in Japan, including Blue Live Hiroshima and Toyosu Pit in Tokyo. He will then spend April and May touring North America, including two shows at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and two shows for ACL Live in Austin, Texas.
Pre-sale for the tour begins today, Friday, November 15th. General sale will begin next week, on Friday, November 22nd. ‘You Got Me Searching’ is out now.
