Jack Osbourne names daughter Ozzy after his late father
Jack Osbourne has paid tribute to his late father and metal icon, Ozzy Osbourne, in a big way, after naming his new baby girl after him.
Jack and his wife Aree welcomed the newborn, Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, into the world on March 5th.
The news was made public on March 11th in a joint Instagram post, which included their grandma and Ozzy’s wife, Sharon.
The short black-and-white video of the newborn was accompanied by a “Hello World” card with her birth date and time, weight and length.
Ozzy has four other siblings, joining Pearl, Andy, and Minnie from Jack’s first marriage to Lisa Stelly, as well as Maple, whom he had in 2022 with Aree.
Baby Ozzy has entered the world almost eight months after her grandfather passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 76.
The metal legend’s death came only weeks after the Back to the Beginning farewell show, which raised millions for charities such as Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Cure Parkinson’s.
The event took three years of planning from him and his wife, Sharon. In his latest book, Last Rites, published in October 2025, the musician revealed that all the stress and effort was worth it: “At Back to the Beginning, sitting on that throne, I felt at home, I felt at peace… I felt comfortable. It was the best drug I ever took,” he wrote.
Last month, a previously lost Ozzy tape was uncovered in an attic after 46 years by an associate of his, David Jolly. The tape captures an early jam session from 1980 between Osbourne, guitarist Randy Rhoads, and bassist Bob Daisley, an artifact of what would eventually become his first solo band.
