Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble announces new EP and shares latest single ‘Everyday Sun’

Roddy Woomble, the lead vocalist of Idlewild, has announced the impending release of his new EP, Everyday Sun, which is due out later this year.

The record, which is co-written by Woomble and Idlewild bandmate Andrew Mitchell, is part spoken-word and scheduled for release on March 27th.

“I greatly enjoyed both of Andrew’s instrumental solo albums (under his Andrew Wasylyk moniker), and really liked the idea of trying to read some of my words over his compositions,” Woomble said in a statement. “It was interesting just to have an electronic drumbeat to base my words around.”

To coincide with the record news, Woomble has detailed a UK tour and shared the self-titled track and accompanying video directed by Danny Grant.
