IDLES share a new cryptic teaser video

IDLES have shared a brand new and incredibly cryptic video on their social media and left their fans a little bit bemused. It’s clear that something is on the horizon but, typically, nobody is quite sure what that is.

Naturally, the band’s fans have used the comments section of the video to try and theorise on what could be on the way. We have our own guesses too.

You can watch the video below, which appeared on the band’s Facebook page earlier today. It sees a slow-motion clip of a giant inflatable ball heading towards the face of a naked man—your usual stuff.

The caption adds more fuel to the fire too, as it simply reads: “16 JUNE 2020” and is accompanied by a link to the band’s official website. It’s left the comments section strewn with fan theories on what’s coming next.

Some have pointed to a new single release, suggesting that new song ‘Grounds’ hasn’t yet received an official release despite being showcased back in 2019, which feels very likely.

Others are suggesting that the video is the beginning of an announcement of the band’s new album, a follow up to 2018’s Joy As An Act of Resistance. All we know is, that we will be tuning in tomorrow to see, if nothing else, what will happen to the naked man’s face when that ball hits.
