Harry Styles breaks Guinness World Record over Wembley Stadium residency

Harry Styles has officially broken a Guinness World Record after his massive residency at Wembley Stadium in London.

The pop star came off the back of the release of his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally in March, to launch his global Together, Together residency tour.

The run of shows kicked off with ten nights at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam in May, before moving on to complete 12 nights at the 90,000-capacity stadium in the English capital.

However, in doing so, Styles has now set the record for the most shows performed at Wembley Stadium by an artist during a single run, surpassing the previous record set by Coldplay, who performed ten.

According to BBC News, Guinness World Record adjudicator Will Munford confirmed the news by saying, “Harry Styles’ record-breaking 12-date run is a testament to the scale, ambition and cultural impact of his live performances, as well as the incredible connection he has with his fans.”

Wembley Stadium itself had already unveiled a tribute to Styles’ achievement during his final night at the venue on July 4th, revealing a banner on the side of the building honouring him, the tour, and his London support act, Shania Twain.

As part of his final show at the stadium, Styles also took a moment of pause to acknowledge his One Direction bandmates, who were put together inside the neighbouring Wembley Arena during The X Factor 16 years ago.

“I want to thank Niall, Louis, Zayn and my dear friend Liam for these nights and everything that I learned in this time, the friendship, everything… none of this would be possible, I wouldn’t be here without you, thank you so much,” he said, particularly referencing Liam Payne, who died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in October 2024.

Describing the formation of One Direction as an event that “changed my life”, Styles added, As I drive through this area, I’m flooded with memories from that time. And every time I have the privilege of returning to Wembley, it’s meant an incredibly great deal to me. Thank you so much.”

Aside from his 12 nights at Wembley, Styles has had a busy time in London, as he was also the curator of this year’s Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre.

After a short break, Styles will return to the stage on July 17th at the Estadio Morumbis in São Paolo, Brazil, where he will play for four nights, supported by Fcukers.
