Gwen Stefani partners with Catholic app, Hallow, which features anti-abortion teachings

Gwen Stefani has shared her latest paid partnership, and it’s raising a few eyebrows. The No Doubt singer has partnered with the Catholic prayer and meditation app, Hallow.

Stefani is a devout Catholic, and recently shared via social media that she endorses the religious app, Hallow. She endorsed the same app during the festive season in 2024, too.

Previously, the company’s CEO, Alex Jones, stated in 2023 that the organisation “proudly and unequivocally” supports “the pro-life stance of the Church and the USCCB’s affirmation of [the end of] abortion as the preeminent priority.”

Jones made this statement while defending their decision to partner with Liam Neeson in 2023. Neeson has engaged in pro-abortion activism in his home country, Ireland.

In a video talking about the app, Stefani shared, “It is important this holiday season to spend time in prayer. That is what Christmas is all about: letting God into our hearts and letting Jesus bring us his peace.”

She then called on her fans to “download Hallow today and join me and millions of others in praying every day this Advent and Christmas season on Hallow.”

In the caption to the post, the musician added that the festive season is a “special time to reflect, pray, and make room in your heart for Jesus.”

The caption continues, “Together we’ll learn how to find stillness amidst the chaos and embrace peace even when our lives are so busy.” The app costs $69.99 for an annual subscription, or $9.99 per month.

A Bit Fruity podcast host Matt Bernstein reacted to the partnership by highlighting an example of anti-abortion teaching on the app. He read out a prayer on the platform, which states: “Jesus, we pray for every woman who is considering abortion… May every woman know the goodness, gift and beauty of her own life, and so be able to receive the gift of her child’s life.”

Stefani isn’t the first celebrity to endorse Hallow. Other famous faces include Bear Grylls, Kevin James, Mark Wahlberg, and Chris Pratt.
