Grammys 2025: The list of nominations

The full list of nominations have been revealed ahead of the Grammys in 2025. Beyoncé is the most-nominated artist, receiving a total of 11 nods which also makes her the most-nominated artist in the history of the awards ceremony.

Other notable names to have received a nomination include The Beatles, who have been shortlisted in the ‘Record of the Year’ category for their 2023 single, ‘Now and Then’. Upon release, the track, which went to number one in the singles chart in the United Kingdom, was billed as their final outing and brought their storied career to a close.

However, if The Beatles are to be successful in the ‘Record of the Year’ category, they will have to beat strong competition from the biggest contemporary names in music such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter. Additionally, The Beatles are nominated for ‘Best Rock Performance’ alongside the likes of The Black Keys, Idles and Pearl Jam.

In the ‘Song of the Year’ category, Swift is again nominated thanks to her Post Malone collaboration ‘Fortnight’, Eilish is shortlisted with ‘Birds of a Feather’, and Chappell Roan will be a contender for the prize for ‘Good Luck, Babe!’.

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones are nominated for ‘Best Rock Album’ thanks to their latest record, Hackney Diamonds. The veteran rockers are up against acts including Fontaines D.C., Jack White, Pearl Jam, Green Day and Idles.

Another major category is ‘Best New Artist’, which includes acts that have dominated 2024 so far such as Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. However, despite making their mainstream breakthroughs this calendar year, Roan released her debut EP on a major record label back in 2017, and Carpenter’s first album arrived in 2015.

Additionally, the category features Khruangbin, who formed back in 2010, and their latest album, A La Sala, is the trio’s fifth full-length release.

The Grammys is set to take place on February 1st, 2025, in Los Angeles. At this stage, no host has been announced for next year’s event.
