Having earlier announced that a new Gorillaz documentary, Reject False Icons was on the way for a special screening, we all got very excited. Now, the band have shared the first trailer. Watch it here.
The film will focus on the band’s time in the studio, their work frequent collaborators, and, of course, their electrifying live show. The flick will land in selected cinemas on December 16th.
Reject False Icons is being directed by Jamie Hewlett’s son, Denholm, who has offered a synopsis of the film. He says the film, “followed the band’s every move for three years, covering the making of two critically acclaimed albums, ‘Humanz’ and ‘The Now Now’, as well as the band’s most ambitious world tour to date encompassing dates across Europe, North America, South America and Mexico, bookended by its own Demon Dayz Festivals in the UK and US.”
In a follow-up statement, the doc promises to be “the first ever all-access immersive journey into the world of Gorillaz and its extended family.” You can watch the trailer below.
