Gorillaz and The Cure to headline new European festival

Gorillaz and The Cure are set to become two of the inaugural headliners of a brand new European festival this summer.

The first-ever edition of PhillGood festival is being launched in Bulgaria from July 17th to 19th, marking the country’s attempt to rise to become a cultural capital across the European continent.

Supporting this venture will be Gorillaz, The Cure, and Moby, who are each set to headline a night of the festival. It is being held on the picturesque banks of the Rowing Canal in the city of Plovdiv, as organisers hope PhillGood could soon become another cornerstone of the European live music scene.

Elsewhere on the line-up, The Cure will be joined on the opening night, while making their live debut in Bulgaria, by the likes of Wolf Alice, Just Mustard, and Pertubator.

It comes as yet another chance to catch The Cure while they dominate the European festival circuit this summer, alongside their own outdoor shows in the UK, which have all now sold out.

Meanwhile, the second night of PhillGood will see Gorillaz, Kneecap, and Sleaford Mods take to the stage.

Lastly, the final night of the festival will be seen out with a bang by electronic pioneer Moby, alongside Britpop legends Suede and German experimental rock band Einstürzende Neubauten.

This initial wave of artists, completed by Apashe and the Brass Orchestra, Thievery Corporation, Hayes & Y, Kadesbostany, and Ali, represents only the beginning for PhillGood.

Many more acts are set to be announced over the coming months, before the festival kicks off for the first time in July.

All tickets, including day passes and camping packages, are on sale now via the PhillGood website. Children under the age of ten can be admitted to the festival alongside a paying adult for free.
