2021 Golden Globes: The complete winners list

The Golden Globes 2021 took place last night and was an evening to remember for the teams behind Nomadland and The Crown, who were the big winners from the night’s proceedings.

The ceremony took place in a virtual capacity due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has forced The Golden Globes to think outside the box. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the glitzy award night from opposite parts of the United States. Fey presented the Golden Globes from the Rainbow Room in New York. Meanwhile, Poehler made an appearance from the Globes’ home of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

The 78th annual event is always a special moment in the awards season, as the Golden Globes never fails to provide an intense glimpse of which films and TV shows will do well later on in the season. Other winners at the Golden Globes included The Queen’s Gambit, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Ted Lasso, Schitt’s Creek, and the late Chadwick Boseman was also awarded for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

There were other notable wins across the night, with Chloé Zhao taking home the Best Director category award. Zhao is the second woman ever to take home the award, and 2021 was the second time in history that more than one woman took home the prize. Check out the full list of winners from the Golden Globes 2021 below.
