In the ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’ category, The Brutalist is nominated alongside James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Nickel Boys and September 5. Significantly, Timothée Chalamet stars in both A Complete Unknown and Dune: Part Two.

Emilia Pérez, which was acquired by Netflix following the Cannes Film Festival, is the most nominated movie at the 2025 Golden Globes with ten nods. The Jacques Audiard movie has been shortlisted in major categories such as ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’ and Audiard is also up for ‘Best Director – Motion Picture’.
Additionally, Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón is nominated for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy Or Musical’. Furthermore, the ‘Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture’ category features the film’s co-stars Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez.
The Golden Globes is set to be streamed on Paramount+ in the United States, set to begin on January 5th at 5pm PT and 8pm ET.
Nikki Glaser will make history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes on her own. Upon being announced for the duty, she shared, “It’s one of the few times that show business not only allows but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). (God I hope so.) It’s an exciting, yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who also might be getting wasted while seated next to their recent exes).”
