Golden Globes 2024: Full list of nominations
That’s right, the arrival of the annual Golden Globes means award season is upon us once again, with the likes of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon each being predicted for major plaudits.
While it’s the first major show of the awards season, the Golden Globes has seen much controversy over the years, with actor Brendan Fraser boycotting the ceremony last year due to accusing the former head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Philip Berk, of groping him back in 2003, only for the HFPA to do nothing. Back in 2021, the show also came under fire when it was discovered that there were no black members in the HFPA.
Following the controversy of 2021, the members of the HFPA are now far more varied, made up of 300 professionals and industry experts from across the globe.
A star-studded night to kick off the awards season, the 2024 Golden Globes will include some of the industry’s greatest filmmakers, including Scorsese, Nolan and Gerwig, as well as Celine Song, Yorgos Lanthimos and Blitz Bazawule.
Take a look at the full list of nominations for the 2024 Golden Globes below.
