Gloria Gaynor donated to several Republican campaigns ahead of Donald Trump’s re-election
Singer Gloria Gaynor has been revealed as a donor to many Republican campaigns ahead of Donald Trump‘s re-election, according to a new report.
Earlier this month, Trump confirmed that action star Sylvester Stallone, musician George Strait, British actor and comedian Michael Crawford, hair metal icons Kiss, and Gaynor would be inducted later this year.
The annual ceremony will occur in Washington, DC, on December 7th, 2025. This year, Trump will make history by becoming the first president to host the event.
After being nominated by Trump, Gaynor has confirmed she will be in attendance to accept the award, recently telling the Daily Mail: “My hope is that in accepting this honor, I can continue with the inspirational phenomenon that began with ‘I Will Survive’.”
The singer continued: “Sharing my music and art on a global level to provide encouragement, hope, empowerment, inspiration, understanding, and unity is the core of my purpose.”
MeidasTouch have now revealed that Gaynor has made a series of political donations, which were made under her real name, Gloria Fowles. Between 2023 and 2024, Gaynor made donations which totalled at almost $22,000 to a series of right-wing politicians and groups.
Notable donations include $2,160.57 to Mike Johnson, the 56th speaker of the United States House of Representatives, $1190.53 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, $2041.50 to Republican senator Marsha Blackburn, and $1242.28 to Josh Hawley, who also serves as a Republican senator.
Additionally, she donated to Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Vivek Ramaswamy, as well as many more Republicans. Gaynor also gave funds to the New Journey PAC, which describes itself as the “largest Black conservative Super PAC in America.”
While Gaynor has largely stayed away from politics, she did denounce feminism during an interview with Metro earlier this year. “The biggest misconception about me? Hmm. It may be dangerous to say this, but… that I’m a feminist,” she told the publication.
Gaynor added: “People say it to me, ‘And since you’re a feminist…’ Erm, no. Not really. I love men… I grew up with five brothers, and I love men.”
