Glastonbury 2025: Watch Wolf Alice cover Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dream’
During their Sunday set on the Other Stage, Wolf Alice performed a cover of the classic Fleetwood Mac track ‘Dream’ before a massive sunbaked crowd.
The indie pop band have performed at the festival four times previously, making their debut at Worthy Farm back in 2014. However, this set certainly seemed to see the stalwarts attract their biggest crowd yet on a blistering hot day.
During their set, they rattled through a range of their biggest hits, including a few tracks from their forthcoming album, The Clearing, which is set for release on August 29th. It will be the band’s fourth studio album.
Breaking up the originals was a surprise cover of ‘Dreams’, the Stevie Nicks-penned song from Rumours. Few songs are instantly recognisable with only a mere half-second drum fill. Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ is a golden rarity that proves utterly iconic from the very get-go.
In the 48 years since it was released in 1977, it has never faltered from its lofty perch as the peak of cruising pop-rock, and the slew of artists it has clearly inspired is testimony to this. Its influence has never faltered, amassing over 2.1billion streams on Spotify.
It was the first time that Wolf Alice had covered the track, but it certainly stirred a weary audience as temperatures still lingered around 25 degrees despite the late hour. Given the conditions, the band seemed to mellow things out to catch a breather.
