Glastonbury 2024: Watch Confidence Man perform ‘C.O.O.L. Party’
Australian dance sensations Confidence Man delivered their trademark dose of fun at Glastonbury Festival. The four-piece took to the Other Stage where they performed classic fan favourites like ‘C.O.O.L. Party’.
During the course of the wildly celebrated set, they rattled off costume changes, dance flips, and even a few sneak peaks from their forthcoming record, 3 AM (LA LA LA), due out in October via Casablanca.
Speaking ahead of the release, Janet Planet explained: “We pretty much wrote every single song when we were wrecked. We’d get blasted and stay up till 9am coming up with music, but we noticed that 3am was the hottest time for when we were on it and the best ideas were coming out.”
Silver-haired accomplice Sugar Bones added: “It’s 3am, it’s never not 3am, and we party all the time.” That much was very clear on the Other Stage as they drew one of the largest crowds of the festival so far and let the part ensue.
The four-piece, who are now stationed in London, followed on from British rapper Headie One, and made way for Bombay Bicycle Club with Idles set to headline the Other Stage this evening (June 28th). Meanwhile, Dua Lipa will be making her debut headline appearance at the festival.
Prior to their appearance, Confidence Man posted an endearing video of themselves apparently arriving at the festival via helicopter. Janet Planet and Sugar Bones appeared to be nude and hanging out of the doors of the chopper, stating: “Glasto 2024 belongs to conman”.
The group are cited in the line-up as scheduled to play a whopping eight separate sets across an array of stages. That makes them one of the busiest acts at the festival this year. And they’ll certainly be one of the most viewed as they continue to garner new fans with every passing festival performance they make summer-on-summer.
You can watch them perform ‘C.O.O.L. Party’ from their 2018 debut, Confident Music for Confident People, below. Dancing along is optional but potentially involuntary.
