Glastonbury 2024: Full line-up and stage times announced
With less than a month to go until Glastonbury Festival takes place in Somerset, the full line-up and stage times have been released for the festival.
Although most of the line-up had been released earlier this year, with Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA set to headline, another batch of names have now been announced for the legendary Somerset event. Acts such as Squeeze, Annie Mac, Soft Play, The Snuts, Femi Kuti, Tems, Jamie Webster, Rachel Chinouriri, The Zutons, Seasick Steve and James are among the new additions to the main two stages at the festival.
While the line-up is now complete, surprises could still be unveiled at the festival as there is a special guest set for the Woodsies Stage on the Saturday at 6:00pm. Last year, Hozier was a surprise last-minute addition on the same stage at a similar slot.
In terms of notable clashes, all three headliners of the Other Stage, Idles, Disclosure and The National, will take to the stage at the same time as the three headliners of the Pyramid Stage, leaving festivalgoers with a direct choice between either stage.
Shania Twain, who has been given the legend’s slot at this year’s festival, will commence the Pyramid Stage for a 75-minute set on the Sunday beginning at 3:45pm. Typically, artists in this billing generate one of the biggest audiences of the entire weekend.
Unlike in 2023, when Foo Fighters performed on the Pyramid Stage as The Churnups, every act who is set to appear on the stage has been officially announced ahead of the event. However, with this being Glastonbury, the unexpected is always to be expected.
Meanwhile, the LGBTQ+ nightclub NYC Downlow has a series of five-minute schedule gaps on the Thursday evening for special guest PAs, which is likely to be filled by high-profile names from the electronic music scene.
Additionally, the BBC Introducing Stage has two TBAs in its schedule. In previous years, artists like Idles and Raye have appeared on this stage as special guests.
The latest additions to the Glastonbury line-up join acclaimed artists who were previously announced such as LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Idles, The National, The Streets, Michael Kiwanuka, Fontaines D.C., Bloc Party, The Last Dinner Party, Jungle, Disclosure, Jamie XX, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monae, Sampha, James Blake, Sleaford Mods and Avril Lavigne.
Visit here to see the full-stage times, Glastonbury Festival is set to run from June 28th until June 30th and Far Out will be on the ground at Worthy Farm to provide coverage directly from the event.
