The sun is shining and there is the definite sense that summer has now begun. What better way to start the day then than with some Girlpool indie charm and the 40 second stop animation video for ‘Magnifying Glass’.

Since the release of their debut album Before The World Was Big the band have been gathering pace as one of the newest artists to whet our appetite for punk and roll genre. With only two guitars they manage to punch across more sentiment in this 40 seconds than most bands can do in an entire LP.

The accompanying video is charming and candid and shows the girls departing from their reputably snotty and antagonistic style. The album is born out of friendship, love and human growth, there isn’t a video that better shows the band’s sentiment than this one – even if it isn’t very ‘punk’.

With lots of live dates scheduled for the UK there is no reason not to get to know this brilliant L.A. duo.
