Get your first look at Wes Anderson's new film 'Isle of Dogs'

So we finally have our first taste of the upcoming new feature film from enigmatic, and always adored, director Wes Anderson. The first trailer for the stop-motion affair Isle of Dogs is here and it’s just what you always wanted.

Featuring many of the familiar actors we’ve become accustomed to when watching an Anderson film, the animated story is one of turmoil and political deceit… oh, and dogs. A lot of dogs.

Featuread actors include (deep breath) Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Harvey Keitel, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Koyu Rankin, Courtney B. Vance, Yoko Ono, Liev Scheiber, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, among others.

The follow-up to 2014’s Moonrise Kingdom sees a young boy search for his dog Rex. Set in Japan the story is one of expected heartwarming joy with a dapple of saddening realism – as is often Anderson’s way.

But most importantly it looks like the most Sunday afternoon film ever made.

The release is due for March 2018.
