‘Get Out’ soundtrack is coming to vinyl

Jordan Peele’s Oscar wining film Get Out is having its soundtrack released on vinyl as the first physical release. It will come with a lovely ‘Garden party’ green marbled vinyl as part of a deluxe 2 x LP edition.

The edition will also include an essay by Peele about his working with composer Michael Abels, who scored the film. “I had some ideas. I envisioned distinctly black voices harmonically creating an unnatural sound. The absence of hope. The void of the voiceless. A disembodied Negro spiritual. The Sunken Place,” Peele writes.

As the winner for Best Original Screenplay, Peele became the first black person to win the prestigious award and the vinyl release speaks highly of its status as one of the most important films in recent years.

The record is available on June 15th via Waxwork.
