Frightened Rabbit share statement on death of singer Scott Hutchison

The members of Frightened Rabbit have released a heartbreaking statement following the death of their lead singer Scott Hutchison.

It is with a heavy heart Far Out Reported the news that the body found in relation to Scott Hutchison’s disappearance had been confirmed as the Frightened Rabbits singer.

Having been last seen on CCTV footage after visiting the nearby Dakota Hotel, fears grew for the 36-year-old when he reported missing in the early hours of Wednesday after he posted a string of worrying Tweets on social media.

Having had the news confirmed by police, Scott’s bandmates release the following statement:

“There are no words to describe the overwhelming sadness and pain that comes with the death of our beloved Scott but to know he is no longer suffering brings us some comfort.

“Reading messages of support and hope from those he has helped through his art has helped immensely and we encourage you to continue doing this. He will be missed by all of us and his absence will always be felt but he leaves a legacy of hope, kindness and colour that will forever be remembered and shared. Rest peacefully Scott.
