Fontaines DC and Geese among 200 artists to donate vinyls to Palestine fundraiser

Fontaines DC are Geese are among 200 artists to donate vinyls of their records to a fundraising raffle for Palestine.

Records for Palestine launched two crowdfunding raffles in aid of Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP), with 200 artists and more than 30 independent record labels having donated 47 vinyl prizes up for grabs.

Among these includes Fontaines DC’s entire vinyl back catalogue, as well as a selection from Heavenly Records with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s Paper Machine Dream Balloon and Kneecap’s Fine Art.

The donation from Partisan Records also features the critically acclaimed Getting Killed by Geese and We Were Just Here by Just Mustard.

These vinyls form part of Records for Palestine’s ‘Indie and Alternative’ raffle, while a second raffle for ‘Jazz, Soul and Global Groove’ includes the likes of Ezra Collective, Femi Kuti, and Emma Jean-Thackery.

The raffles will remain open for the next two months, with each ticket costing £5 per entry. Speaking of the launch of the raffle, Records for Palestine said: “Many artists have been involved in fundraising and raising awareness from the web to the stage.”

They added: “Records For Palestine provides another way for artists, labels, curators and music fans to pledge support — allowing us to raise funds while also giving artists and labels a platform to stand in visible solidarity with Palestinians.”

Many of those involved in the raffle, including the likes of Fontaines DC and Kneecap, are also involved in various other campaigns relating to Palestine, including the No Music For Genocide boycott where they have blocked their music from being streamed in Israel.
