Wayne Coyne, the singer and enigmatic frontman of the Flaming Lips, has announced a new split EP in connection with Mac DeMarco.
The new release, branded “the Mac DeMarco afternoon delight ensemble,” will apparently feature the Flaming Lips covering three Mac DeMarco songs, and, in turn, include DeMarco putting his own spin on a trio of the Flaming Lips’ songs.
Lips’ and DeMarco have announced a joint tour later this year and, to reveal the new record, Coyne shared the announcement with a clip of him working on track ‘Chamber of Reflection’, taken from DeMarco’s 2014 album Salad Days. Check it:
