Watch the first-ever ‘socially distant’ concert from Travis McGready

The first ever “socially distant” concert has taken place as Travis McGready of Bishop Gunn took to the stage in Arkansas in front of “crowd pods” in what must go down as his strangest show ever.

After a lot of toing and froing, Travis McGready’s “socially distant” show went ahead after all at the TempLive venue in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

McGready performed in front of a rather quiet crowd who were situated in “fan pods”, distanced from one another. All those fans were also asked to wear masks and had their temperatures taken upon entry.

The venue had a capacity of 229 with bathrooms limited to 10 people at a time and offered up a rather bleak view of the immediate path ahead for live music.

Below you can watch a brief review of the performance but we won’t hold it against you if it proves a little too painful to watch in full.

The clip also highlights a little of the journey to get McGready up on stage.
