First acts announced for Bestival presents Common People
Last month we brought you the news of Bestival’s new side project ‘Common People’ and now the first acts set to play at their inaugural show.
Taking place on the Southampton Common over the May bank holiday weekend, Head organiser revealed that there will be no camping in an effort to offer “a metropolitan experience”.
Norman Cook will be headlining Common People’s Saturday night along with live sets from hip-hop legends De La Soul, Jaguar Skills plus a homecoming for locals Band of Skulls who said: “We are extremely happy and proud to be playing Common People festival. We grew up here in Southampton and the common has played a big part in our lives. Hometown shows are always great, this will be extra special. See you in May”.
