The brilliant Fiona Apple has recorded a video for Sinead O’Connor after serious concerns began to grow over Irish singer’s mental health.
O’Connor posted a heartbreaking video on her social media explaining how she has been living in a hotel alone with little support: “I’m now living in a Travelodge hotel in the arse end of New Jersey. I’m all by myself and there’s absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor, my psychiatrist, the sweetest man on Earth who says I’m his hero,” said O’Connor. “That’s about the only thing keeping me alive at the moment. The fact that I’m his bloody hero. And that’s kind of pathetic.”
Now, in a reaction to her worrying admission, Fiona Apple has sent a message to explain how O’Connor has always inspired her: “I want you to know that you are my hero,” Apple says.
“I just saw the video of you and I don’t want you to feel like that. I don’t want you to feel like that. You’ve given so much. And I wish I could be there. I wish I could be of some use to you. I’m your friend—that’s all I want to say—and you’re my hero.”
Shortly after posting the video, O’Connor sent out the address of the Travelodge which is in South Hackensack, New Jersey.
However, in a new message posted on here official Facebook page by a close friend, O’Connor is said to be ‘safe’ and not suicidal.
“Hi everybody, I am posting at Sinead’s request, to let everyone who loves her know she is safe, and she is not suicidal,” the message read. “She is surrounded by love and receiving the best of care. She asked for this to be posted knowing you are concerned for her. I won’t respond to any questions, so please understand. I hope this comforts those of you were concerned.”
