Final Glastonbury Festival tickets sell out in 20 minutes
Avid music fans had one last chance to get their hands on coveted Glastonbury tickets on Sunday, April 27th, with the final resale going live at 09:00 BST.
The world-famous Somerset event announced on social media that tickets were gone after “incredible demand” after only 20 minutes. The post also read, “Sorry to all those who missed out”.
Hopeful attendees had three chances to get tickets to the festival. In November 2024, tickets went on general sale. Following this, what the festival called “coach resale tickets” sold out in 30 minutes on Thursday, April 24.
The ticket price this year has spiked from the previous year, from £355 to £378.50.
While a full breakdown of the festival with stage times has yet to arrive, Neil Young, The 1975, and Olivia Rodrigo are set to headline the Pyramid Stage. Meanwhile, Charli XCX, Loyle Carner, and The Prodigy will headline The Other Stage.
Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro, Deftones, Noah Kahan, Busta Rhymes, John Fogerty, Raye, The Maccabees, Ezra Collective, The Libertines, Wet Leg and Father John Misty are among other major names performing at Glastonbury.
After much speculation, Pulp have confirmed that they won’t be playing Glastonbury, despite a return to the industry this year. During a new interview with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, Jarvis Cocker confirmed that he will attend Glastonbury.
However, he will not perform with Pulp. “I will be going to Glastonbury, and I might DJ,” he explained.
Glastonbury Festival is set to take place from June 27th to June 29th. After this summer, the event will take a “fallow year” to tend to the grounds, before returning in 2027.
