Track of the Day is a barnstorming piece of noise-rock and the latest release from Speedy Wunderground, the conceptual label created by Dan Carey.

Previous tracks unveiled by the label featured by Far Out have included the the likes of TOY. Bat For Lashes, Kate Tempest and Loyle Carner – with every song being produced by Carey himself.

But this time the focus is on FEWS – a multinational four-piece which has members from the US and Sweden. Without further ado, we give you ‘ILL’.

What starts as a pretty bog standard piece of krautrock, dipping its toe in the water with eeriness and a deep vocal, explodes in to eight minutes of truly exhilarating motorik.

It not only draws on the likes of Can and The Jesus and Mary Chain, but also more industrial sounds reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails, and even the kind of hard-powered electronica that we have heard from artists such as Daniel Avery in recent years.

But whatever your personal point of reference, there is most definitely something here for everyone.

Listen to the track here and pre-order it on limited edition 7″ vinyl from Speedy Wunderground.
