Festival No. 6 announces first acts for 2015

Festival No. 6 has announced the first wave of acts for its fourth insalment in September 2015, including headliners Belle & Sebastian and Grace Jones.

The Glasgow indie stalwarts will top the bill on the Saturday night of the event in the Welsh town of Portmerion. The set promises to be a greatest hits showcase spanning the whole of the band’s 19-year career – from classics like ‘The Boy With the Arab Strap’ right through to tracks from their new record Girls In Peacetime Want to Dance.

Also heading the lineup is pop diva and all round musical enigma Grace Jones. She will take to the main stage to treat revellers to a show that is sure to be full of her usual theatricality and visual extravagance.

In addition, organisers have also revealed a number of acts who will appear further down the bill, featuring some of the hip-hop worlds brightest new voices. These include Far Out favourites Kate Tempest and Ghospoet, as well as Mercury winners Young Fathers.

Ticket holders can expect to catch King Creosote, Rae Morris and Stornoway perform live over the weekend too.

But Festival No. 6 has also become known for offering a stellar lineup of DJs, with The 2 Bears, DJ Harvey and Andrew Weatherall having all been unveiled.

With more to come, Festival No. 6 2015 is already shaping up for a fantastic return September 4th-6th.
