Father John Misty pays tribute to Tom Petty with ‘To Find A Friend’ cover

Father John Misty paid tribute to the late Tom Petty with a cover of ‘To Find A Friend’ at his recent show in Phoenix.

Petty, best known as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, recently died aged 66. The iconic artist was found unconscious and not breathing after suffering from a full cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu. Petty was put on life support at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital on Sunday and with a series of mixed reports which lead to confusion and speculation about the iconic musician being pulled off life support as there were no signs of brain activity before his family later confirmed the news.

Petty, who influence a large portion of current artists, was remembered by Father John Misty who covered Petty’s ‘To Find A Friend’ during his show in Arizona on Wednesday night.
