Father John Misty live at Coachella and filmed by Lana Del Ray

Father John Misty handed out a dose of Pure Comedy to the Californian desert as he swooned thousands at Coachella Festival on Friday.

Mr Misty, formerly known as Josh Tillman and the previous drummer of Fleet Foxes, played numerous new tracks from his latest album as the crowd melted, feeling all weak at knees.

Title-track ‘Total Entertainment Forever’, ‘When the God of Love Returns There’ll Be Hell to Pay’ and ‘Ballad of the Dying Man’ all continued to impress the crowd.

Among that crowd, Lana Del Ray – who was not scheduled to perform at the festival – provided some footage of Tillman’s show:
