Father John Misty shares two brand new songs

Our week has just improved significantly as Father John Misty has shared two brand new singles in the shape of ‘To R’ and ‘To S’, which you can listen to right now.

The tracks arrive as an AA-side, which is part of the Sub Pop Singles Club. The iconic label’s famous singles club has been an institution since 1988 with previous alumni including the likes of Nirvana, Bright Eyes, Soundgarden, The White Stripes and many more.

These two tracks signal the first brand new original music from Josh Tillman since his epic 2018 masterpiece God’s Favourite Customer and hopefully is the start of plenty more new music from him to come.

Last month he announced his return with the release of the brand new cover’s EP Anthem +3  which opens up with a cover of Leonard Cohen song ‘Anthem’ and closes with a rendition of the late Canadian singer’s track ‘One of Us Cannot Be Wrong’. Sandwiched in between is a cover of Link Wray song ‘Fallin’ Rain and Cat Stevens track ‘Trouble’.

Listen to ‘To R’ and ‘To S’, below.
