Eric Clapton announces small 2026 US tour
Eric Clapton has announced six US shows for later this year, adding to a run of European shows already announced.
The beloved musician will travel to the States this September, where he will kick things off in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena on September 6th.
Following on from this, Clapton will take to Cincinnati, Chicago, and Milwaukee, before travelling over to St Paul. He’ll end the run of six US dates in Kansas City, at the T-Mobile Center.
Jimmie Vaughan will serve as the opening act for the newly announced dates. Clapton’s band will consist of guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Sonny Emory, keyboardist Chris Stainton, bassist Nathan East, organist Tim Camron, and backing vocalists Katie Kissoon and Sharon White.
Clapton had previously announced 11 European dates for this year, the first of which begins in Amsterdam on April 24th.
Following this, he will travel to the likes of Antwerp, Krakow, Budapest, Prague, Madrid, and Barcelona, before a final show in Munich on May 17th.
Additionally, late last year Clapton announced a one-off show to take place in summer 2026 at The Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on August 23rd as part of their summer series.
At 80 years of age, the star is still touring and performing despite health issues, which include peripheral nerve damage in his fingers.
