Eagles announce final ‘The Long Goodbye, Act III’ stadium dates
Eagles have announced a sprinkle of 2026 stadium dates to wave goodbye to their long-lasting goodbye tour.
Currently, the Eagles are in the midst of a record-breaking run of dates at the Las Vegas Sphere, which began on September 30th, 2024. It has been extended on multiple occasions due to demand, and will now see them perform until March 2026.
Now, the band has added a handful of dates to their final run, deeming this new segment of live shows ‘The Long Goodbye, Act III’.
The first of the newly added shows will take place at Atlanta’s Truist Park on May 5th. They will follow this up with a show at Nashville’s FirstBank Stadium at Vanderbilt University on May 9th.
Following this, the iconic group will appear at Arlington’s Globe Life Field on May 16th, which has a capacity of more than 40,000. Currently, this is set to be their very final show, unless more dates are added in the future. Tedeschi Trucks Band will join them as special guests at the three new shows.
The news comes after Don Henley confessed in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that 2026 is likely to be the band’s last year together.
When they announced their intention to retire in 2023, they shared, they said of their decision to retire: “The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds.”
Henley has now elaborated on his stance on the band’s imminent end, adding, “I’m okay with [the end]. Because I would like to spend more time with my family, and I would like to spend more time growing vegetables.”
He added that the band is “great, this is wonderful, but I have other things…. I have two non-profit environmental organisations that I chair,” before mentioning his grandchildren whom he wishes to spend more time with.
