Duran Duran unveil UK and Europe arena tour dates
Duran Duran have announced a major UK and European arena tour slated for this autumn.
Hot off a summer run that will kick off in Denmark at Heartland Festival on June 19th and conclude in Switzerland on July 12th, the legendary 1980s new wave pioneers will return to Europe on October 2nd for a show at Oslo’s Unity Arena.
Boasting a rather tightly-packed schedule, the hitmakers will then move on to Stockholm on October 3rd, Hamburg on October 5th, and Cologne on October 8th, before flying across the English Channel to the UK.
Their UK run will begin at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro Arena on October 15th, before snaking over to Belfast on October 18th. Their special guest, Pigeon, will support on all UK shows.
From there, the group will appear in Birmingham, Liverpool, and Leeds, before two final dates in Brussels’ ING Arena on October 26th, and Paris’ Accor Arena on October 28th.
UK fans won’t have to wait until autumn to see the ‘Girls on Film’ stars live; Duran Duran will headline BST Hyde Park this summer in London on July 5th, which holds up to 65,000 people. They’ll be joined in the capital by special guests Scissor Sisters.
Recently, vocalist Simon Le Bon insisted his band will only play Glastonbury if they headline the Pyramid Stage: “We shouldn’t be below anybody on the bill,” Le Bon stated in a new interview.
