Dolly Parton announces Las Vegas residency after retiring from touring

Dolly Parton has announced details of a new six-date Las Vegas residency for later this year.

Despite retiring from the road after the conclusion of her Pure and Simple tour in 2016, Parton will perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six shows between December 4th and December 13th, 2025.

Looking ahead to the shows, Parton said in a statement: “To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there.”

She continued: “I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there.”

In the early 1990s, Parton was a frequent performer in Las Vegas, playing a grand total of 50 shows at the Mirage between 1990 and 1993.

Tickets are set to be released on June 25th, and no information has been revealed regarding a potential pre-sale. However, they have detailed a VIP ticket option, which entitles fans to “a personal photo op with Dolly herself, an onstage tour, access to Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, a deluxe gift set and more.”

Last year, Parton confirmed she will never retire despite reiterating her desire to never tour again, explaining to The Guardian, “I can’t retire. I always say I’ve dreamed myself into a corner. I’ve got to keep all those dreams alive. Every dream spins off into some something else. It’s misinformation when I said I was not touring any more.”

Parton also said she will continue to occasionally play concerts, such as the upcoming Las Vegas residency, adding: “I still do shows – I just don’t go on the full-blown tours where I go overseas for weeks. I’m older, my husband’s older, and I want to be with him more. So, no. I couldn’t retire if I wanted to. And I don’t want to.”
