‘Dilbert’ creator Scott Adams reveals prostate cancer diagnosis
Scott Adams, the cartoonist and author behind the iconic series Dilbert, has revealed news of his prostate cancer diagnosis.
Adams decided to share news of his cancer after former President Joe Biden previously revealed that he was battling the same type of cancer on May 18th.
During a live stream on Rumble on May 19th, Adams explained to viewers that he “has prostate cancer that has also spread to my bones”.
The author then heartbreakingly revealed that he only expects to live for a few more months, sharing with viewers, “But, I’ve had it longer than [Biden’s] had it. Well, longer than he’s admitted having it. So my life expectancy is maybe the summer. I expect to be checking out from this domain sometime this summer.”
Adams, who is a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, also criticised those who have mocked Biden’s diagnosis, stating, “Having watched how people treated Joe Biden when the diagnosis came, people are really cruel. They are really bad.
The creative then stated that he’s expecting people to believe his prostate cancer is “because I got the Covid shot”, before adding, “There’s no indication that that makes a difference.”
He continued: “People are going to say it’s something I brought on myself; they’re gonna say it’s because I lived a bad life. But people are gonna be really, really terrible. So I wanted to reduce the number of months or weeks — I don’t know what I have left, weeks or months — that people were going to be terrible to me online because it’s gonna be kind of hard to spend any time online.”
Adams then said he’s dealing with the situation “quite well” because he’s “unusually mentally tough” but did concede the pain is “really tough”.
Dilbert began in 1989 and ran on a daily basis in thousands of newspapers across the world for decades until Adams said white people should “get the hell away from Black people” in a YouTube video following the publication of a poll by Rasmussen Reports in 2023.
