Deep Purple announce new album and extensive tour dates

English rock icons Deep Purple have announced the impending release of their new album, Whoosh!, which will be out this summer through earMUSIC.

The record, which arrives as the band’s 21st studio album to date, sees Deep Purple link up with producer Bob Ezrin for the third time in recent years, following their previous collaborations on 2017’s InFinite and 2013 effort, Now What?!.

According to a statement from the band, the group kept up their spirits during the recording of the album by repeating the motto: “Deep Purple is putting the Deep back into Purple.”

Guitarist Steve Morse explained: “We’ve included everything that made the whole band smile, including Bob Ezrin. We’ve always enjoyed making music and having the incredible luxury of a loyal audience.”
