David Rodigan MBE is Bestival’s first ever Resident For Life

Bestival and Camp Bestival organiser Rob Da Bank has honoured David Rodigan MBE with the event’s first Resident For Life award.

The accolade means that Rodigan has a life-long open invitation to both events, one that he has hinted he will be sure to fulfil.

The BBC Radio DJ and all round reggae & dub encyclopaedia has played at both Bestival and Camp Bestival every year since 2009 and it seems fans can expect many more great vibes and and a plethora of unrivalled knowledge at future festivals.

“He’s a living legend – amazing broadcaster, endless champion of great new and old music from Jamaica and all over the reggae and dancehall world, and most importantly for our festivals one of the best DJs in the world.

“I’m so pleased David is our first Resident For Life and at the moment the only person I’m even considering for that honour! Salute!”
