David Lynch is keeping himself, as well as his fans, occupied whilst we all find ourselves locked down with the launch of his brand-new video series, appropriately titled What Is David Working On Today?
In the first instalment of the series, Lynch explains in detail about his progress on replacing a drain in a wooden sink and varnishing a stand.
In addition to this new project, the acclaimed director is still working on his daily weather report which he recently brought back after a prolonged ten year absence which brings a short period of much needed joy during these difficult times.
The director of Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and more, has already confirmed that he is not spending his period in lockdown working on any new television or film projects, instead, he told Vice that he has picked up a new hobby of creating electric light holders. “It involves lightbulbs, electricity, polyester resin plastic, and those kinds of things,” he explained.
When the conversation turned to quarantine hobbies, Lynch was asked to recommend some fun tasks to keep people busy. He replied: “They can draw, they can paint, they can build small things, they can write lyrics, they can write poems, they can write stories that can later be filmed, they can play games, they can invent games. So many things can happen in a small space, they can invent new recipes and cooking things. It’s an opportunity for a bunch of different experiments.”
