The David Bowie estate isn’t resting on its laurels as it continues to provide archival releases for his many fans. The latest sees Something in the Air (Live Paris 99) being released digitally for the first time.
Recorded during one of Bowie’s most legendary performances, on October 14th at Paris’ Elysee Montmarte, the release includes rarities like ‘Can’t Help Thinking About Me’.
As well as the 1966 song, which Bowie hadn’t performed for three decades, the new release comes with live versions of Station to Station‘s ‘Word on a Wing’ and Aladdin Sane‘s ‘Drive-In Saturday’.
The album was named after the show produced the debut performance of ‘Something in the Air’, the Hours cut, providing a notable moment in the show.
Three of the songs included in the release were made available as Hours B-sides, the remainder of the songs are previously unreleased.
Something in the Air (Live Paris 99) will be available on streaming service on August 15th.
